gma networks earns second YouTube diamond play button

GMA Public Affairs reached its 10 million subscriber mark on YouTube making GMA-7 the first Philippine network to receive two Diamond Play Button awards.

GMA's second channel, GMA Public Affairs, reached its 10 million subscriber mark yesterday, April 7, making it the first Philippine network to have two 10million YouTube subscribers in the video-sharing platform.

The great news follows after the network's Entertainment channel reached the same milestone in May 2019.

According to GMA News Online, GMA-7 is the second network in the entire region of Southeast Asia to achieve the said feat following GMM Grammy Public Company Limited of Thailand.

Created in August 2008, GMA Public Affairs houses the network's best documentary, docudrama, news magazine, and lifestyle TV programming.

It features some of GMA Network and GMA News TV's award-winning shows like Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, i-Witness, Imbestigador, Reporter's Notebook, Born To Be Wild, and Unang Hirit.

As of writing, the channel has already gained more than 5 billion views collectively with Wish Ko Lang, Imbestigador, and Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho as its top-viewed contents.

GMA Network has yet to receive its second Diamond Play button award, which is one of the four subscriber plaques created by YouTube for its content creators with over 10 Million subscribers.

Congratulations and thank you, mga Kapuso!
