A real life story about two boys from Baliuag, Bulacan, who surrendered a bag containing P300,000 to their town councilor and eventually to the rightful owner, was the inspiration behind the Kapuso Mini Sine, Gustin.

This Sunday, viewers will get the chance to be inspired by this rare act of honesty once more as GMA airs the full version of the mini sine, along with a follow up report on the real Gustin, on SNBO

Seasoned actor Pen Medina, who appears as Mother Ben in the GMA Telebabad show Aso ni San Roque, plays the role of the Baranggay Captain, who gave Gustin the important decision of taking the honest path or not. The part of Gustin, meanwhile, is played by young actor Denzel Guiao.

The real Gustin and his friend Jonathan brought inspiration to so many viewers when their story was featured on 24 Oras last December 2011. The owner of the bag, who happened to own a school in Bulacan, was so thankful that she gave the two boys a full scholarship. She also gave Gustin’s parents jobs at the school, and found a way to help Gustin and his family when their house was destroyed during the Habagat onslaught this year.

In hopes of touching even more lives, GMA Marketing and Productions, the marketing arm of GMA Network, immortalized the story by turning it into a short film.

Be sure to catch the 10-minute director’s cut version of the Kapuso mini sine and the follow-up story on Gustin this Sunday after i-Bilib on SNBO.
