GMA Network’s First Vice President for Program Management Jose Mari R. Abacan was part of the esteemed panel of jurors at the 45th International Emmy Awards.

GMA Network’s First Vice President for Program Management Jose Mari R. Abacan was part of the esteemed panel of jurors at the 45th International Emmy Awards held last November 20 at the Hilton Hotel in New York City.
 
With his knowledge and expertise in TV programming, Abacan has been selected by the Academy’s Committee to recognize excellence in the best television programs produced from various countries around the globe.
 
This year, he served as one of the jurors who evaluated numerous entries for the Semi-Final Round of Judging for the TV Movie/Mini-series category.
 
Abacan previously participated as a juror in the Final Round of Judging for the comedy category in 2013 and 2011; and for the TV Movie/Mini Series category in 2010 and 2007.
 
“It is a great honor to be given another opportunity to participate in screening high quality programs from different countries alongside other respected executives from the international television industry. Also, being a juror does not only give me pride to represent GMA Network but it has also been a learning experience for me to further broaden my perspectives in TV programming,” he shared.
 
The International Emmy Awards, which is considered as the Oscars of the TV industry, is an annual event organized by The International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. 
 
It is a membership based organization comprised of leading media and entertainment figures from over 60 countries and 500 companies from all sectors of television including Internet, mobile and technology.
