
Beginning January 16, Kapuso viewers may start watching classic Kapuso shows and other top-rating programs of GMA on 'Pinoy Hits' on Channel 6 of GMA Affordabox and GMA Now.
Pinoy Hits kicks off with a simulcast of the currently airing shows on GMA and GTV, airing of repurposed and closed-captioned GMA and GTV replay, and reruns of classically produced Kapuso shows, particularly dramas, comedies, and child-friendly programs.
Daily newscasts on GMA and GTV, such as “Unang Hirit,” “Dobol B TV,” “Regional TV News,” “Balitanghali,” “Dapat Alam Mo!,” “24 Oras,” and “Saksi” will have a simulcast on Pinoy Hits.
Meanwhile, the GMA Afternoon Prime dramas “Abot Kamay Na Pangarap,” “Unica Hija,” and the new series “Underage” will also air on the new channel at the same time they air on GMA-7. More people can watch the well-loved GMA Telebabad series “Maria Clara at Ibarra” because it will also be available on Pinoy Hits including the new primetime series “LUV IS: Caught In His Arms.”
Pinoy Hits also offers a humorous Friday night barkada bonding because “Bubble Gang” will also be available via simulcast airing on GMA. Following this is the replay of the award-winning Kapuso documentary show “I-Witness.”
During the weekend, there will be a simulcast on Pinoy Hits of “24 Oras Weekend” and news magazine shows and informative programs of GMA Public Affairs “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho,” “Imbestigador,” “Good News,” “Brigada,” “Ang Pinaka,” “Pera Paraan,” “AHA,” and “Born to be Wild” (with replays every Saturday). The list also includes drama anthologies “Tadhana” and “Wish Ko Lang.”
Furthermore, there is a replay of “Pinas Sarap” and “Reporter's Notebook” on the new digital channel every Sunday.
GMA Entertainment Group programs “Sarap, 'Di Ba?,” “iBilib,” “Pepito Manaloto,” “All-Out Sundays,” “Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko” (with replays on weekdays), “The Boobay and Tekla Show,” and “Telesine Presents” (with replays every Saturday), will be simulcasted on Pinoy Hits.
“Farm to Table” and the “Timeless Telesine” of I Heart Movies, which are also digital channels that can be watched on GMA Affordabox, will have replays every Sunday.
The binge-worthy programs of GMA and GMA News TV will be revived as they will air via Pinoy Hits.
These include the teleseryes “Sherlock, Jr.,” “Dwarfina,” “Pyra: Babaeng Apoy,” “Buena Familia,” “Kakambal ni Eliana,” “Because of You,” “Dading,” and drama romance anthology “Wagas.”
When it comes to humor, the comedy anthology “Dear Uge,” the sitcom “Ismol Family,” and the comedy reality show “Day-Off” will have reruns every Sunday.
Pinoy Hits aims to deliver entertainment to a wider audience and brings a dose of nostalgia, through child-friendly programs “Art Angel,” “Alamat,” and “Mahiwagang Baul” which will be aired again through the said digital channel.
Pinoy Hits have also prepared a variety of shows solely for food enthusiasts including “Taste Buddies” and “Pop Talk.”
Go back in time and fuel your mind with relevant documentaries about Filipinos inside and outside the country found in the rerun of “Reel Time.”
