As GMA Network and ABS-CBN Corporation inked a new deal to air It's Showtime on GTV starting July 1, GMA Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon proudly declared that the so-called "TV war" between the two large media organizations in the country is finally over.

In April 2022, GMA Network and ABS-CBN first collaborated in the airing of several Star Cinema movies on GMA's local channels, marking the beginning of the collaborations of the two media companies.

It was followed by the production of Unbreak My Heart with Viu Philippines, and several co-produced movies that are currently in the works.

Several GMA Network shows and international channels are also available on iWantTFC.

"Lahat ng iyan, siguro pwede na natin sabihin ngayon, without any fear of contradiction, na 'yung kompetisyon, o 'yung tinatawag ng mga media practioners na TV war is finally over," Atty. Gozon shared.

"At ang talagang makikinabang nito, of course, 'yung mga manonood, of course, nakikinabang din itong ABS at GMA."

Atty. Gozon also thanked the ABS-CBN executives for choosing GTV as the new home of its popular noontime show, It's Showtime.

"Gusto kong sabihin sa pagkakatong ito, kung hindi ko pa nasasabi before, na malugod naming tinatanggap ang popular program na It's Showtime.

"Nagagalak din kami na pinili ng ABS-CBN na ilipat ang programang ito sa GTV. Sa aming pananaw, ang pinagsamang skills, expertise, experience, and resources ng ABS at GMA can be characterized as very formidable."

Fortunately, It's Showtime airing on GTV is not the last that the public will see GMA and ABS-CBN collaborate on new projects.

"Sa tingin ko sa darating na panahon, mayroon pang magiging collaboration between GMA and ABS that will be mutually beneficial and rewarding for both us," he ended.

Aside from Atty. Gozon, representing GMA Network in the contract signing were GMA Network President and COO Gilberto Duavit, Jr., Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Felipe S. Yalong, and Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group, and President of GMA Films, Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes.

Present for the side of ABS-CBN were its Chairman Mark L. Lopez, President and CEO Carlo L. Katigbak, COO for Broadcast Cory Vidanes, and officer-in-charge of finance group Paul O. Pieded.

It's Showtime hosts Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Jhong Hilario, Kim Chiu, Ogie Alcasid, Amy Perez, Jugs Jugueta, Teddy Corpuz, Ryan Bang, Jackie Gonzaga, Ion Perez, Cianne Dominguez, MC, and Lassy also graced the contract signing.
