GMA Network Entertainment Group lives up to its commitment to bring superior and quality entertainment to every Filipino across the globe by conducting a special writing workshop for future writers and concept creators.

The 2023 GMA Writing Workshop recently held its graduation rites for its 42 talented participants last March 19 at GMA Studio 6, GMA Network compound, in Quezon City. These promising talents underwent training not only in writing but also in mobile filmmaking for them to be equipped with the necessary skills to shoot and edit their own pitch sizzlers and concepts.

After their fruitful 12-day workshop, from January 28 to March 14, participants underwent two-day grueling pitch presentation to a panel of producers, directors, and creatives.

During the ceremony, GMA SVP for Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to share their thoughts, ideas, and creativity especially in the digital platforms.

"We are very much open and we look forward to listening to you so do not stop sharing your ideas," Rasonable stated.

Around 50 concept pitches were presented, which many of these will be presented to GMA management for TV, OTT and social media content.

Also present during the event were VP for Business Development Department II Janine Piad-Nacar and Consultant for Business Development Department II Bang Arespacochaga.

The graduation rites of our workshop participants were also witnessed by GMA-7 program managers Cecile De Guzman, Enri Calaycay, and Mildred Natividad.

Creative Director Caesar Cosme and long-time Kapuso director Rico Gutierrez were in attendance, too. Gutierrez is the director behind several award-winning GMA-7 shows like Amazing Earth and Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko.
