Multi-awarded broadcast journalist Atom Araullo was honored as “Television Broadcaster of the Year.”
Speaking on behalf of GMA Network, Seva underscored how the award is not only for GMA and its employees, but for every Filipino who continues to trust the Kapuso Network “in moments of triumph and in moments of loss.”
“Their trust is a privilege we never take for granted,” she said.
Addressing the crowd which consists mostly of fellow media practitioners, Seva added: “Collectively, all of us in this room share a common responsibility: to ensure that facts remain stronger than fear, rumor, and division. Because democracy is strongest when citizens have access to information that they can trust. Asahan po ninyo na kami sa GMA ay mananatiling Walang kinikilingan. Walang pinoprotektahan. Noon at ngayon, serbisyong totoo.”
The Pro Patria Journalism Award is one of the most respected journalism recognition programs in the Philippines, conferred by the Rotary Club of Manila. The award honors journalism and media work that serve the nation, uphold truth, strengthen democracy, and promote patriotism through responsible reporting. Over the years, GMA Network has been recognized by the Rotary Club of Manila for its commitment to nation-building and public service.

For nine consecutive years, GMA Network has been named the Most Trusted TV Network by the Trusted Brand Awards of international magazine Reader's Digest. GMA has also maintained the highest overall brand trust rating among major Philippine news brands in the recent Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism's Digital News Report (DNR). The Network likewise continues to reinforce its digital presence, rising to No. 13 in the Tubular Leadership Worldwide Ranking in the Tubular Labs ranking for April 2026.
Meanwhile, Araullo has produced compelling stories that have made a mark on Philippine viewers and received international acclaim. He anchors GTV's flagship newscast State of the Nation, headlines the bi-monthly The Atom Araullo Specials, and is one of the hosts of the GMA's legacy documentary show I-Witness. At the 2026 New York Festivals (NYF) TV & Film Awards, The Atom Araullo Specials' “Golden Tree” won the Bronze Medal under the Environment & Ecology category while another documentary “Baby Makers,” received a Finalist Certificate.
