GMA Pictures, the film outlet of GMA Network, recently sealed a partnership with Viva Films to create more quality movies for Filipino viewers.

Top executives from the two film production giants came together in a virtual contract signing ceremony on Friday (April 29) to seal the deal.

Attending for GMA were GMA Films President and Programming Consultant to the Chairman and CEO Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes and First Vice President for Program Management Department Jose Mari Abacan.

“We've done a lot of movies in the past together and also sa TV marami na rin tayong nagawa with Viva and all have been successful. Whenever we work with Viva, it's always a joy, everything runs very smoothly. We love partnering with them and this new joint venture agreement just strengthens our partnership.

“We hope to be able to give the viewers quality movies, especially [since] the theaters are starting to open and people are starting to miss going to the cinemas to watch movies, we will be able to give them new movies with new casting combinations,” said Atty. Gozon-Valdes.

Representing Viva Films were Viva Communications Inc. Chairman and CEO Mr. Vicente Del Rosario Jr., Viva Communications Inc. President and COO Mr. Vincent Del Rosario, Viva Artists Agency Inc. President and COO Ms. Veronique Del Rosario-Corpus, and Viva Communications Inc. SVP for Content Creation and Development Ms. Valerie Del Rosario.

“We have done a lot of films with GMA, mostly I would say all are very successful. This is just a continuation of that previous joint venture with them. I thank GMA. I'd like to say that probably this is a very strong partnership and hopefully we create a lot of good movies, combining the great talents of GMA and Viva,” Mr. Del Rosario Jr. expressed.

Aside from this, Mr. Del Rosario expressed his excitement over this partnership, saying, “We are very excited with the partnership. We've been working together with GMA for a long time but I think the exciting part is to be able to work with friends.

“Hopefully, this partnership is the start of many [movies] that we'll be doing together on different fronts.”

Through the years, GMA Pictures and Viva Films have created various quality movies and television programs such as Ober Da Bakod, Of All The Things, Till I Met You, In Your Eyes, T.G.I.S.: The Movie, and more.
