GMA Pinoy TV Block Screening

Global Pinoys can also enjoy 'Voltes V: Legacy' through GMA Pinoy TV

In a bid to promote the anti-piracy advocacy campaign, GMA Network's international arm, GMA Pinoy TV, held a block screening of Voltes V: Legacy: The Cinematic Experience last April for its pay TV partners DIRECTV (VXI Call Center Representatives) and Bell (Quantrics Call Center Representatives), Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) led by Director General Atty. Rowel S. Barba and Deputy Director General Atty. Ann Claire Credo-Cabochan, and TikTok Philippines representatives. Also present at the event are key partners and Kapuso personalities including Betong Sumaya, Nelson Canlas, Sandro Muhlach, and Christian Bautista.

After watching the cinematic version of the first three episodes of the series, viewers could not hide their astonishment at the entirety of the movie, as well as the series which is now airing.

Wilfredo Silorio of Quantrics felt that the movie was definitely a trip down memory lane, saying “It really was my childhood, batang '70s, '80s, parang naging tao 'yung cartoons. Sobrang ganda!”

Most of the guests were also emotional when the volt in sequence of Voltes V was shown on the big screen with maritime lawyer Atty. Ped Faytaren saying “Ang galing nu'ng pagkakagawa nu'ng pagvo-volt in.”

“Makikita mo 'yung details. Kasi 'di ba 'pag nanonood ka ng Voltes V, 'yun 'yung portion na inaabangan mo eh, and the way they did it, ang ganda talaga especially 'yung detailing niya,” he added.

Kapuso comedian and Bubble Gang star Betong Sumaya also mentioned how it was worth it waiting for three years for the production to be complete.

“Bawat eksena talagang pinag-aralan, binuhusan talaga ng panahon. Halo-halong emosyon, parang rollercoaster. Lalo na nu'ng lumabas si Voltes V. Wow! Ang tindi, nakakapanindig-balahibo,” he said.

Meanwhile, Filipino-American artist Eliseo Art Silva who designed the Historic Filipinotown Gateway in San Francisco, California, commended the dedication that the production team placed on the project.

“GMA did a great job in bringing back Voltes V to all of us who fell in love with it as kids. I think it's a masterpiece that only GMA could make because they put their hearts into it and every little detail counts. I think it's the perfect show for all the family, especially the kids,” he said.

Asia's Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista also extended his appreciation to the people who worked on the project, saying how proud he is of director Mark Reyes, the cast, and the whole production team.

“Kasi we were always wondering the past three years every time we would see the cast sa All-Out Sundays na parang 'Kailan ang Voltes V?' And then here it is. It is just so worth it. Congratulations sa lahat,” he said.
