As the international channel of GMA Network, GMA Pinoy TV recently strengthened its support to Filipinos both in the US and in Hong Kong through partnerships and collaborations to help Pinoys in both countries.
Recently, the National Federation of Filipino American Association (NaFAA) visited GMA Network, headed by its National Chairman Brendan Flores, together with National President Mariela Fletcher and Regional President Anthony Guevara.
The NaFAA has been the leading figure in terms of promoting the welfare and well-being of Filipinos and Filipino Americans all over the US. This partnership aims to have more meaningful collaborations and sponsorships, aiming to have a strong and long-term business relationship between GMA and NaFAA.
One of the goals of the partnership is to expand connections between GMA and Filipinos all over the US.
Meanwhile, GMA International First Vice President and Head of Operations Joseph T. Francia reaffirmed the commitment and support of GMA Pinoy TV with the Philippine Consulate in Hong Kong with its various projects.
Recently, First Vice President Joseph visited Consul General Raly L. Tejada and Vice Consul Jose Angelo D.G. Manuela as GMA Pinoy TV reconnected with the Filipino community in Hong Kong.
“The Filipino community in Hong Kong was also heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. GMA Pinoy TV reaffirms its solidarity with the community here,” Francia said.
He added, “We are grateful that the community remains tuned in to GMA for the latest news and entertainment shows. We will continue to focus on enhancing this relationship and supporting the Global Pinoys here in Hong Kong.”
GMA Pinoy TV is also set to explore strategic collaborations with the Philippine Association of Hong Kong (PAHK) for its upcoming events. The PAHK is the umbrella, non-profit organization representing Filipino groups in the business sector in the country.
One of the events that GMA Pinoy TV is partnering with is the return of the “Ms. Barkadahan 2023” on stage after three years, in which GMA Pinoy TV has been a media partner before. The event featured DJ Loonyo, a popular artist who was a former overseas migrant worker himself.
