Are you the next creator of a Kapuso series?
GMA Public Affairs proudly announces its inaugural Drama Concept Development Workshop, titled “The Big Idea,” happening this November.
This groundbreaking initiative aims to nurture creative talent and elevate storytelling, whether on television or digital platforms. Participants will have hands-on learning experiences that will enhance their storytelling, writing, and concept development skills -- empowering them to create compelling and meaningful narratives for television and digital media.
Leading the workshop is Erwin Caezar Bravo, GMA Public Affairs' Creative Consultant and Head Writer, and the creative mind behind hit primetime series Black Rider, The Lost Recipe, and My Ilonggo Girl.
Participants of “The Big Idea” will also benefit from exclusive talks by some of the country's industry luminaries: National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts Ricky Lee; GMA Public Affairs Senior Program Manager and concept creator of Green Bones, JC Rubio; and renowned head writer and creative consultant, and creator of the series Encantadia, Suzette Doctolero.
Only 20 participants will be chosen based on submitted writing samples, which will be evaluated for originality, clarity, emotional depth, and commercial appeal. The shortlisted participants will have a combination of face-to-face and online sessions, which will be held on November 15, 22, 29, and December 13, 2025.
The workshop is open to Filipino citizens aged 18 and above. Applications are accepted until October 31, 2025, and selected participants will be notified by November 7.
