The Kapuso Network continues to bag more awards for its programs and personalities this year. Congratulations, Kapuso!
GMA Network continues to soar to greater heights this year as multiple Kapuso shows and news personalities were given recognition at the 2021 Platinum Stallion National Media Awards by the Media and Communication Department of Trinity University of Asia.
According to the educational institution's press release, the awards were chosen by the whole community of Trinity University of Asia, including students, faculty, alumni, staff, and other stakeholders.
GMA-7 was awarded TV Station of the Year while the groundbreaking family drama series Legal Wives, starring Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo, Alice Dixson, Andrea Torres, and Bianca Umali, was recognized as a Culturally Relevant TV Series.
On the other hand, five awards were given to GMA News and Public Affairs programs such as i-Witness (Best Documentary TV Show) and the top-rating news magazine show Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (Best News Magazine Program).
Kapuso media personalities Pia Arcangel (Saksi), Vicky Morales (Wish Ko Lang), and Atom Araullo (State of the Nation) were named Female News Personality of the Year, Best Public Service Show Host, and Male News Personality of the Year, respectively.
For radio, Super Radyo DZBB 594 and Barangay LS 97.1 were named AM and FM Radio Station of the Year.
