Disney Princess The Concert

Here's what went down at the magical show of 'Disney Princess: The Concert' in Manila.

The talented cast of Disney Princess: The Concert successfully finished both days of their Manila leg last November 18 and 19 at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater in Makati.

Broadway stars Aisha Jackson, Anneliese Van Der Pol, Krysta Rodriguez, Steffanie Leigh, and Adam Levy, along with music director Benjamin Rauhala, fulfilled their promise to give shows that are not only fun but also sentimental.

Made possible by local concert organizer Wilbros Live, it was truly a show dedicated to Disney kids and kids-at-heart as the cast performed the classic and well-loved songs of the 13 Disney Princesses and the two Frozen queens.

Benjamin, who also served as the music supervisor and co-creator of the production, officially opened the show in his sparkly green suit.

The four stars--Aisha, Anneliese, Steffanie, and Krysta--brought to life favorite songs from Disney Princess movies, while dressed in their colorful and dazzling gowns.

Among the first songs they treated the audience with were “When Will My Life Begin,” “Reflection,” “Touch The Sky,” “For The First Time,” and “Part of Your World.”

The cast also showcased their own medley of some of the classic songs from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty.

Adam and Krysta then made the audience fall in love with their duet of “A Whole New World” from Aladdin.

After a short break, the four stars returned on stage in their golden gowns and opened the second half of the show with “That's How You Know” from Enchanted.

Aisha performed two songs from Frozen, “For The First Time in Forever” and “Love Is An Open Door,” with Adam.

Krysta channeled the Moana in her with “How Far I'll Go,” while Anneliese had a powerful performance of “Mother Knows Best” from Tangled.

This was immediately followed by Steffanie's “Healing Incantation” and the romantic “I See The Light,” which she sang with Adam.

In the latter part of the show, which Benjamin said is their favorite part, the Broadway stars treated the fans with songs from Anastasia, The Princess and the Frog, Mary Poppins, and Beauty and the Beast.

Aisha, Anneliese, Krysta, and Steffanie closed the spectacular show with their strong performance of Frozen's “Let It Go,” which was further elevated by the white confetti that resembled snow falling down the sky.

Disney Princess: The Concert still has two shows for their Philippine tour as they bring the production to Davao on November 21 and to Cebu on November 22.
