Korean actress and model Jung Ho-yeon makes it a point to stay humble amid her thriving career.
During the press conference for her newest endorsement, Ho-yeon was seen showing her sweet smile in front of the camera with Sam Oh, the host of the event.
At the stage of Marco Polo Hotel in Pasig City, Metro Manila, Philippines on November 11, 2022, the actress talked about how she never forgets caring for her friends and for the people around her despite being a busy person.
"Something she likes to talk about with her friends is this feeling of empathizing with each other because she feels that everyone is getting busier by the day, we're not as interested in each other's lives, and we're losing the ability to empathize with each other. So, [Jung Ho-Yeon] would like to be more interested in the things going on around the world, around her, and in the lives of the people she cares about," said the host in translation.
Hit Netflix Korean series Squid Game is Ho-yeon's first acting stint.
She became famous for her character as the North Korean defector Kang Sae-byeok or player number 067 in the said series.
Despite being her first time working as an actress, it is undeniable that Ho-yeon has been receiving a lot of praise and recognition for her acting skills.
In her previous interviews, the Korean star said, “I am honored and feel thankful (to the viewers) for loving my performance in the series [Squid Game]. But, I am well aware of how much work I have to do and learn to become a better actor.
“I try not to dwell too much on the success of Squid Game. For the fans, I think it is best to show Jung Ho-yeon improved as an actor, in my next work,” Ho-yeon added.
