Television adaptation of Nagbabagang Luha excites fans as GMA dropped the upcoming series' full trailer last July 21.
In fact, it earned one million views in just two days after its release on the official Facebook page of GMA Network.
Viewers ultimately noticed Glaiza De Castro and Claire Castro delivering the iconic lines "Mamatay ako" and "Ipalilibing kita" from the 1988 blockbuster movie, directed by National Artist for Cinema Ishmael Bernal, of the same title.
That particular scene in the trailer received approving comments like "angas," "grabehan," and "award."
Glaiza and Claire will play the role of sisters Maita and Cielo, originally portrayed by Lorna Tolentino and Alice Dixson respectively. Maita finds a rival in Cielo because the latter is attracted to her older sister's husband, Alex, to be played by Rayver Cruz.
For Glaiza's fans and supporters, her role is another exciting character that they will certainly watch for.
One netizen even compared Glaiza's role in Nagbabagang Luha to her iconic character of Pirena, the keeper of the fire gem, in Encantadia 'requel' aired from 2016 to 2017.
"'Di mo ko maloloko, Pirena, kaya nagbabaga ang iyong mga luha dahil sa brilyante ng apoy," the comment read.
The TV adaptation of Nagbabagang Luha also stars Mike Tan, Myrtle Sarrosa, Royce Cabrera, and Karenina Haniel.
Joining them are veteran actors Alan Paule, Archi Adamos, and Ms. Gina Alajar.
Directed by Ricky Davao, GMA's Nagbabagang Luha will premiere on August 2 after Ang Dalawang Ikaw on GMA Afternoon Prime,
