Korean actor Gong Yoo just joined Instagram and his fans are celebrating!
Korean star Gong Yoo is now on Instagram, and fans from all over the world are flocking to his page. Gong Yoo has amassed 1.5 million followers just one day after his account was created.
The actor made his first post on December 1 and it was a photo of a squid served on a plate--alluding to his recent record-breaking series, Squid Game, which holds the title of Netflix's most viewed show.
A second post made on the same day shows Gong Yoo raising his arms with his thumbs pointing to his basketball jersey that had "Gong 30" written on it.
Though he has not yet been verified with a blue check mark on the platform, his profile bio says, "This account is the official Instagram operated by Management Soop," in Korean. Gong Yoo's agency Management Soop was also tagged in his bio.
Gong Yoo will be starring soon in the Korean sci-fi series The Silent Sea, which tells the story of a space crew that will explore the abandoned Balhae Lunar research station. Kingdom actress Bae Doona will also be headlining the drama that will premiere on Netflix on December 24.
