There's going to be a party!
American singer-songwriter Flo Rida will stage a party in the 65th Miss Universe competition in the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on January 30.
The rapper from Carol City, Florida is one of the best-selling music artists for his chart topping hits “Low,” “Right Round,” “Club Can’t Handle Me,” “Good Feeling,” “Wild Ones,” “Whistle,” “I Cry,” “G.D.F.R.,” and “My House.”
Before his international success, Flo Rida or Tramar Dillard in real life, was raised by his mother in a rough neighborhood in Miami. His early musical influences were his father who was a talented musician and his sisters who were part of a local gospel group.
As a teenager, Flo Rida rapped with a group called the Groundhoggz, and he eventually became the hype man for Fresh Kid Ice from 2 Live Crew.
The American rapper also had his fair share of struggles. He moved to Los Angeles, but he was unable to land a record deal while working with DeVante Swing so he returned home.
He got to work with Poe Boy Entertainment and later on found an opportunity to sign with Atlantic Records in late 2006. In 2009, Flo Rida started his own management company, Strong Arm with longtime friend and manager Lee “Freezy” Prince.
They eventually launched their own record label, IMG in 2011 and started a non-profit foundation called “Big Dreams for Kids” to inspire future leaders.
Watch the smashing performance of the multi-awarded rapper live on GMA at 8:00 a.m. on January 30.
