
GMA Network continues to shine brighter than ever, raking in multiple awards and nominations across various categories in award-giving bodies.
Recently, GMA Pictures led the pack at the 8th Entertainment Editors' Choice Awards (The EDDYS) by the Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd).
Topping the list is the inspirational-drama film Green Bones, which earned an impressive nine nominations this year.
The award-winning film was nominated for Best Picture, with Zig Dulay earning a nod for Best Director. National Artist Ricky Lee and award-winning screenplay writer Angeli Atienza were nomintad for Best Screenplay.
Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo was once again nominated for Best Actor, while Primetime Action Hero Ruru Madrid received the Best Supporting Actor.
The film's excellence in technical and artistic craft was also recognized with nominations Best Cinematography (Neil Daza), Best Editing (Benjamin Tolentino), Best Production Design (Maolen Fadul), and Best Musical Score (Len Calvo).
Meanwhile, the romantic sequel Hello, Love, Again also scored several nominations. Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera earned the Best Actress nomination for her performance in Balota.
Adding to the celebration, GMA Pictures was honored Producer of the Year in recognition for its outstanding output and impact in the past year.
Green Bones was a standout entry at the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival, winning six major awards: Best Actor (Dennis Trillo), Best Supporting Actor (Ruru Madrid), Best Child Performer (Sienna Stevens), Best Screenplay (Ricky Lee and Angeli Atienza), Best Cinematography (Neil Daza), and Best Picture.
The film was produced by GMA Pictures, GMA Public Affairs, and Brightburn Entertainment.
