Hannah Pangilinan is the third child of actress Maricel Laxa and Anthony Pangilinan.

Despite being born into a showbiz family, she is now making her own name in the music industry.

The 22-year-old singer-songwriter made her debut in September 2018 with her first single "Nagbabakasakali" under Universal Records Philippines.

In an interview with Thea Astley in Behind The Song Podcast, Hannah shared that being born into a showbiz family gives her a "good pressure."

"I think it's good pressure. I've enjoyed all of the opportunities that have come my way because of the family that I was born into. And I think it's just that giving me responsibility at a young age to be a role model for people. It has kept me aware of the fact that people are watching. I'm honestly very grateful for the position that I was born into," she said.

In October 2021, Hannah released her first EP 'Phases.' The album contains five tracks including her latest single "Hinto."

"Actually, the offer came first from Universal Records. They just asked me if I'm interested in doing an EP and I was like, I've been singing my whole life but I never thought I'd have the opportunity to actually make my own music so when it came, 'I mean why would I turn down such a great opportunity,'" Hannah shared.

She added, "I've never really written a song full on before that, so I learned on the job. It's a great process that's why it took longer than expected. It's only supposed to take six months and it took three years. I wanted it to really be me. Like if it is going to be something I release, I really want to be hands on with that. You know, life happens so you can't be doing it 24/7 but I hope people will see another side of me through this EP."
