Hannah Precillas

Hannah Precillas is not only making waves in music but is also finding success as an entrepreneur with her family's empanada business.

Aside from being dubbed the "Kapuso OST Princess" and serving as a judge on "Tanghalan ng Kampeon" in TiktoClock, Hannah Precillas has also been busy running a food business that started during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In an episode of Pera Paraan, Hannah recalled that the business began as a simple family pastime while they were staying at home.

"Nag-start lang talaga lahat na libangan lang namin noong pandemic. Since si mom is mahilig magluto, and then eventually kaming mga anak niya nagkaroon ng idea na bakit hindi natin gawing negosyo since 'yun 'yung patok ngayon, online lang," she said.

"What started as a hobby and bonding activity with her family eventually turned into a source of income."

"So from hobby lang or katuwaan lang namin, bonding namin noon, naging business siya," she added.

The family initially invested just P1,500 to test the market before officially launching the business.

Juggling a singing career and managing a business hasn't always been easy, Hannah admitted, especially when customer orders come in while she's working.

"Well, sa totoo lang, mahirap talaga. Habang nasa work ako, may gustong umorder or kailangan kong ialok sa kanila, magko-collect ako ng orders, listahan ng orders. Mahirap para sa akin balansehin 'yung ganung oras ko. Pero I made sure na 'yung social media namin ay matutukan ko somehow. May mga posting kami," she said.

Being part of the entertainment industry has also helped introduce her products to more people.

"Since nasa industry nga ako, so 'yung mga kasama ko sa work, kapag natikman nila, as much as possible, hinihingan ko talaga sila ng honest review, na hindi dahil kaibigan nila ako or katrabaho nila ako," Hannah said.

Her empanadas are sold for P150 to P190 per box, depending on the flavor.

According to Hannah, they produce at least 40 boxes a day, but during peak demand, production can double to 80 boxes, or around 400 pieces of empanada.

"Kung everyday kami gagawa, puwede ka talagang kumita ng five digits a week," she said.

Viewers can catch Hannah preparing her bestselling empanadas and hear what her fellow celebrities have to say about them on Pera Paraan.
