Chrisopher de Leon tested negative for coronavirus

The great news was shared by Christopher de Leon's wife, Sandy Andolong.

Weeks after his self-isolation and quarantine, actor Christopher de Leon is finally free from COVID-19.

The great news was shared by Christopher's wife, Sandy Andolong, through an Instagram story today, April 14.

In the photo, Sandy shared the test results of Christopher from the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine along with the caption, “At last the long wait is over! All praise and glory to God!”

She even highlighted the results that wrote: “SARS-CoV-2 (causative agent of COVID-19) viral RNA not detected.”

It was on March 17 when Christopher announced that he tested positive for COVID-19.

In an Instagram post, he wrote, “Today, our doctor confirmed that I have COVID-19. I've had no recent travel history outside of the Philippines and no known contact with anyone who is positive to have the virus.”

However, due to the nature of his work in the showbiz industry, he has interacted with a lot of people and asked those to observe a stringent self-quarantine to observe symptoms.

To all my family and friends, especially in the entertainment business: Today, our doctor confirmed that I have COVID-19. I've had no recent travel history outside of the Philippines and no known contact with anyone who is positive to have the virus. However, due to the nature of my work in the entertainment business, I have interacted with many people. I therefore ask anyone who has come in contact me within the last week or two to observe stringent self-quarantine, observe for symptoms and follow the triage procedures published by the DOH, whether asymptomatic or not. Please cooperate with the authorities in their contact tracing efforts. My wife Sandy, daughter Mica & our kasambahay are in self quarantine at home. In this time of trial, we ask for your prayers and we continue to praise and thank the Lord for His goodness in our lives. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. ( 1Thessalonians 5:18 ) Stay safe & GOD bless ! Christopher de Leon

Just recently, GMANetwork.com obtained a video from Christopher thanking all frontliners who are helping the country fight the deadly virus.

In the video, he said, “Nagpapasalamat po ako sa lahat ng mga frontliner.

“Sa lahat ng mga pinapakita n'yong tapang, dedication sa inyong sinumpaan, to save lives, sa inyong kabayanihan, maraming salamat po.

“When I was in the hospital, in Medical City, nakita ko ang inyong dedication, kindness, love, and compassion sa akin at I'm sure ganu'n din sa iba,” he said.

The actor then uplifted the modern heroes' morale by emphasizing their worldly purpose.

“God said all things work together for good for those who love God and called according to his purpose. Ito po ang purpose ninyo, to save lives… Thank you very much and God bless us all.”
