Kapuso actor Derek Ramsay is in high spirits after being tested negative for COVID-19.

In a Facebook post on April 30, Derek wrote, "Thank you lord. My test results for covid-19 came out negative."

Derek is one of the celebrities who has been actively helping frontliners since the enhanced community quarantine has been implemented.

According to the report by PEP.Ph, Derek went to the Asian Hospital and Medical Center in Alabang, Muntinlupa to get himself tested and it took ten days before the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) released the results.

As of May 1 the Department of Health has recorded 8,772 cases of COVID-19 in the country, while 1,084 people have already recovered.

Some of those who have recovered from the disease were showbiz personalities too like Iza Calzado and Christopher de Leon.
