Pregnant singer Katy Perry shared her battle against depression during the coronavirus pandemic.

Pregnant singer Katy Perry honestly shared her fears amid the worsening coronavirus pandemic which is hitting the U.S. hard.

In a tweet, the American Idol judge weighed in on the difficulty of avoiding COVID-19 and staying positive.

She wrote, "sometimes i don't know what's worse trying to avoid the virus or the waves of depression that come with this new norm."


According to 7news, Katy shared her hopes for her baby girl in a Facebook Live last month and said, “in a weird way, being on lockdown has forced me to slow down - which is probably, in turn, really good while I'm growing a child.

“And it's forced me to find even more balance.”

E! News also reported the pop star saying:

“Because, when I have a child, I will still be at home, basically, and I'm not used to that. I'm used to, like, jet setting everywhere.”

The singer has also been helping raise funds and awareness for COVID-19.

She joined several COVID-19 causes such as Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization, as well as the SHEIN Together digital festival.

Katy also donned an elephant costume to sing for the role of Mrs. Dumbo in Disney Family Singalong: Volume II.
