Geneva Cruz shares a happy update about her mom who recently contracted the virus.

Days after sharing that her mom, Marilyn Cruz, had contracted the coronavirus, Geneva Cruz shares a happy update about her mother's current condition.

According to the singer-actress, her mom is no longer in “critical care” and thanked everyone for their support and prayers for the matriarch.

She said on Instagram, dated April 12, “Mama is not anymore in critical care and has more energy compared to two nights ago. Nakaka-relax na s'ya ng konti at nakakanood na ng TV (magandang sign 'yun sa mama namin).

“Thank you for all your prayers and well-wishes.”

Geneva then advised her fans to “not go out if hindi naman kinakailangan” and to follow safety precautions “for your sake and the sake of the people around you.”

Since learning of her mom's condition, Geneva has been doing everything she can to help raise funds for her mother's medical needs.

Last Sunday, April 11, the 45-year-old singer performed a medley of songs through her YouTube channel to serve as a fundraiser for Mommy Marilyn.

She said in the caption, “Raising funds for my mom, who raised me, supported me, and has been the best grandma to my children. She needs proper medical attention as soon as possible as she is sick with COVID.

“Our whole family is doing all we can, but any donation from you guys would go a long way.”
