Award-winning Kapuso comedienne Pokwang posted this message to lift the spirits of her followers on Instagram with the gloom brought about by the sharp increase of new COVID-19 cases this month.

Pepito Manaloto actress Pokwang is on the road to recovery after getting infected with COVID-19.

In her latest Instagram post yesterday, January 12, Pokwang stated that she's currently on her sixth day of isolation.

The Kapuso comedienne added that since she's fully-vaccinated. It helped her to survive the symptoms brought about by the virus.

“Dear Covid doo bee dap dap, eto ako nagpapaaraw para lumakas muli at makabawi, ika 6 days kona ng isolation buti nalang bakunado ako kaya kinaya kita ng bongga!”

In addition, Pokwang stressed that this, too, shall pass and we should remain strong for our loved ones amid these trying times.

“Sa mga tinamaan ni pareng Covid doo bee dap dap wag panghinaan ng loob lalo na kapag may pamilya tayong umaasa satin, Laban lang mga mahal ko dasal at tiwala lang kay God oki?” she said. “Inom ng maraming tubig, vitamins i doble, suob, wag na muna lalabas kung may nararamdaman na symptoms. mag isolate agad agad oki kapit lang.”

Netizens and fans commented on Pokwang's post and wished her a speedy recovery as well.

Several celebrities were also victims of the ongoing COVID-19 surge including GMA News pillar Arnold Clavio, Iya Villania-Arellano, and Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz.

Yesterday (January 12) was another grim day for Filipinos with the total number of active cases in the Philippines breaching 208,164. The Department of Health (DOH) also reported that the positivity rate for the whole country stands at 45.7 percent.
