The couple is currently in Benguet celebrating the back-to-back occasions together with their closest family and friends.
Heart met Chiz after they were paired by the former's mentor, the late senator Miriam Defensor Santiago, whom she considers her second mother.
On February 15, 2015, the couple wed in a private ceremony at Balesin Island Club in the Philippines.
In her Instagram Story, Heart would often describe Chiz as her best friend who has supported her in her many life decisions.
When asked by a fan how did she know he was “The One,” Heart responded, “Pinaglaban n'ya ako.
“He was kind, supportive, understanding, and loves unconditionally. He is my best friend.”
Additionally, she shared that her husband would constantly remind her to be strong whenever she would feel alone.
“He doesn't baby me whatsoever because he would tell me he would go first,” she said in an Instagram Q&A.
“I feel like crying every time he says that. But I know I will one day die alone--it's my biggest fear.
“But, I know by that time I will be happy with all the memories I have, and I will be stronger to face that moment.”
