Queen of Creative Collaborations Heart Evangelista is laying down to rest some of the craziest rumors about her in her latest vlog!
The Kapuso actress does a sit-down style interview where she reacts to all the gossip that hounded her since the beginning of her showbiz career--from getting pregnant in her twenties to smoking.
In the early parts of her YouTube vlog, Heart responded to the rumors that she got pregnant in her early twenties and married before.
“Definitely, no,” Heart replied.
“But if I had a baby, whether when I was your or whether I was expecting or not, I always believe that a baby is a blessing.”
She added, “No, I was never married before. But I thought of getting married a couple of times.
"I did get a ring, but it was just a promise ring. It was shaped like a heart, and they used three diamonds cut to be shaped like a heart--like an illusion diamond.
“And I remember when I got my engagement ring, it was a whole shaped diamond ring. And then I remember Chiz said, 'Oh! Buo na yan!'
“I found that cute, and it was funny.”
Sorsogon Governor Francis "Chiz" Escudero proposed to the beautiful actress with a glimmering 2-carat, a heart-shaped diamond ring that was reportedly an Escudero family heirloom back in 2014.
The couple then wed in Balesin a year later.
When told that she and her husband don't sleep in the same bedroom, Heart said, “Of course we share the same room! Minsan minsan na ng lang kami magsama, 'di pa kami magshe-share?”
The actress stressed that because of Chiz's job as Sorsogon governor, they don't often see each other--most often during the early days of the lockdown and the consecutive typhoons that hit the country.
Despite this, she reiterated that she understands their situation and said she's very proud of what Chiz has achieved in the province.
“Now, I'm glad that I have more time for myself to do my work. Because I'm also working, and he's not the nagging type,” Heart said.
“We're together, depends. Sometimes five days every two weeks or three days once a week.”
Going back to her younger days, Heart revealed that she used to smoke cigarettes because she thought it was “cool” and that she'd do it during the times she'd experience heartbreak.
“But that was just a phase,” she explained.
“But when I got older, I think around 25, I started to become paranoid about my health, and that's when I began to get a little anxious about anything health-related.
“I was never a chain smoker, and I only did it when I was partying with friends.
"But yeah, I stopped doing it because it's not so nice, and you'd smell horrible too. And it makes you look old!”
Heart was also bombarded with rumors about her family, including not treating her step kids nicely and that she doesn't plan to conceive anytime soon because she doesn't want to ruin her body.
In response to the rumors about her step kids, the fashionista said she treats them “extra nice” because she is fully aware that she is their stepmom.
“When you love other people, even if you didn't give them the gift of life, it still feels so good because you don't necessarily want anything in return,” she added.
“You want to love them and guide them, and I love them as my own.
“We are fully aware that Chiz is a little bit older than all of us, so in the end, kami kami lang din naman 'yung magkakasama, so I treasure them so much, and I am very blessed that I have two angels at home.”
With regard to not wanting to bring her own child to the world for the sake of beauty, Heart said, “To be honest with you, I am because this is my job--I am not going to deny that.
“But for me not to want to have a baby because of that, it's a no--Parang ' di naman ganun ka-grabe.
“That was my fear before, but the moment I got pregnant, welcome ko naman siya, so I know it's not an issue for me.
“Grabe ka naman, breastfeeding makes you lose weight, 'di ba?”
She added in jest, “That's if mabubuntis ako! E, ang tagal ko na ngang 'di nabubuntis. Ano ba 'to!
"Malapit na! After ng pandemic, mag-o-option C na ako. Nag-B na ako, so C na ako. Bigyan lang natin ng chance.
“Kasi nga, 'pag dumadating na si Chiz, tapos na 'yung week na fertile ako. Nakakainis!
"You know, it's not easy to get pregnant, ha! You only have a few days; the window is three to five days.
“Pero 'pag nagkabagyo at nandun si Chiz, o, selfish ba ako? Pag nandun s'ya, magda-drive ba siya dito ng nine hours para nandito siya sa window na fertile ako?
"Mahirap talaga ang situation pero after the pandemic, maghintay lang kayo.”
Heart also addressed any pregnancy rumors by responding, “And stop asking if I am buntis or if I have a baby bump kasi BonChon nga lang yan!
“Sometimes it makes me sad, but I've accepted it because I am grateful for my life, and I know it will happen!”
