Heart Evangelista celebrates Guinness World Record for Sorsogon


Residents of Sorsogon have just set a Guinness World Record. Congratulations, Sorsogon!

Kapuso darling Heart Evangelista is celebrating with Sorsogon as the province has set the Guinness World Record for the largest Philippine folk dance.

A total of 7,127 residents including Heart and Governor Francis “Chiz” Escudero performed the Pantomina sa Tinampo at Sorsogon's Kasanggayahan Festival.

Heart wrote on her Instagram post, “This @guinnessworldrecords award was just a bonus. The true prize is knowing that we can all stand together united as one! What an unforgettable day for Sorsogon. This is just the beginning. I am so excited for what the future holds.”

The Sorsogon residents performed the Pantomina sa Tinampo, a local courtship dance, from Fatima Church to Bulwagan and Rompeolas Baywalk.

Official adjudicator from Guiness World Records Swapnil Dangarikar was present at the awarding ceremony on October 31.
