Nagpahinga si Heart matapos ang 'Luna Mystika,' but she's now ready for her next soap--ang 'Ngayon at Kailanman.' At dito, partners sila ni JC De Vera.
Naging tahimik ang lahat sa kampo ni Heart since matapos ang 'Luna Mystika,' but she's rejuvenated and ready para sa bago niyang project—ang 'Ngayon at Kailanman.' Text and photos by Jason John S. Lim. Interview by Connie M. Tungul. This coming June, Heart Evangelista will star in the Sine Novela adaptation of yet another Sharon Cuneta classic, ang Ngayon at Kailanman. And this time, she'll be starring opposite fellow Augustinian JC de Vera. We've never worked with each other before, kami ni JC," Heart shares. "First time namin, pero naging classmate ko siya sa [Colegio] San Agustin noong bata pa kami," kuwento ni Heart. "There was a time pa nga na naging crush ko siya, [kasi] kamukha niya si Brad Pitt sa Interview with a Vampire." Hindi daw alam ni JC na naging crush siya ni Heart noon, pero Heart says she has a picture of them together as kids. "Nakakatuwa kasi, bilang Augustinians, makakatrabaho ko na siya sa isang soap," Natatawa niyang sabi. "Natutuwa nga 'yung mga teachers namin." Heart says she's very excited sa kanilang bagong project, saying, "Feeling ko magiging heavy drama siya this time—pero babawi kami sa kilig. Maraming mga kilig moments." "The actress shares how the story begins: "Sabihin na natin na parang best friends kami ni JC nung bata kami. Siya mahirap, ako mayaman. Tapos noong umalis ako pumunta akong States, pagbalik ko, ang daming nagbago. So mababaligtad 'yung sitwasyon pagbalik ko, parang ganoon. Basta maganda siya, maganda." Something to look forward to again, for sure. Pero let's take a look back naman. Things have been a little quiet sa camp ni Heart the past months, pagkatapos ng Luna Mystika. Kaya naman inalam namin from her kung anu-ano ba ang mga pinagkaabalahan niya. "Madami akong ginawa," she reveals. "Madami akong in-analyze sa buhay ko; madaming nawala, may mga nagbago. Madaming nangyari sa buhay ko nung nagbakasyon ako. I spent it with my family and my friends." And she's happy na habang wala siya masyado sa limelight, wala ring mga issue at intriga na lumabas tungkol sa kanya. "Which is very good kasi it's nice to get out for a while," Heart tells us. "I mean, I always wanted to keep my life private. [And] now I think I have to focus on my family more, on my friends more. More of me this time."
