Heart Evangelista is back with another of her #CharaughtChronicles on her Instagram. This time, the Queen of Creative Collaborations gamely re-enacted the famous "shopping scene" in Pretty Woman.
In the original 1990 movie, Vivian, played by Hollywood actress Julia Roberts, is looking for a dress at a Rodeo Drive shop when she gets snubbed and rudely dispatched by a snooty retail assistant. It is only after her client Edward, played by Richard Gere, decides to splurge on her that Vivian, now looking classy and stylish and smelling of cash, gets back at the shop assistant and delivers the best comeback, "You people work on commission, right? Big mistake. Big. Huge. I have to go shopping now.”
To refresh your memory, here's a quick look at that funny, iconic scene:
On her Instagram, the I Left My Heart in Sorsogon actress played Vivian and let her stylist Kat Cruz-Villanueva portray the snarky shop assistant, who from the looks of it, took her role quite seriously. They made some minor adjustments on the lines, though.
This isn't the first time Heart made a parody. Last week, Heart also posted a video of her hilariously creative re-enactment of the opening scene of Breakfast at Tiffany's, which had her followers laughing after she drank coffee straight from the "garapon."
Heart Evangelista has been up and about in her US trip. Almost non-stop, she's had a string of meetings with friends and industry colleageus, like book author Kevin Kwan, Korean-American fashion expert Chriselle Lim, Incubus front man Brandon Boyd, and Bling Empire star Kane Lim, an event that sparked rumors that Heart might be appearing in the second season of the hit Netflix series.
When she was in New York in the first week of August, she also spent an afternoon with Vogue.com editor Chioma Nnadi and writer Ian Guilford Malone.
