Kapuso style icon Heart Evangelista sure has an expensive taste in fashion but this doesn't mean she spends beyond her means.

In a video on Instagram, the actress showed a funny conversation she had with her husband, Sorsogon governor Chiz Escudero.

The video began with Heart showing her outfit of the day--a sleeveless white turtleneck top, sleek faux leather pants, and blue high-cut Nike sneakers.

Her little fashion show was interrupted when Chiz entered the frame and asked about the dressing room's lighting, the conversation changed when Chiz noticed Heart's shelf of designer bags in the corner.

"Dumami na naman 'yang bag mo,' ' Chiz is heard saying gently to Heart in the video. Heart puts on an innocent facial expression in response to her husband and said, "Hindi ah."

Chiz then gave a reminder to his wife, "Darling, tigil-tigilan na 'yan. Aalis ka. Bawas-bawasan. Makakabili ka lang kung nagbenta ka," he said.

Heart explained their conversation through her video caption, "I am only allowed to buy another bag if I upgrade (sell old ones that don't give me that spark anymore)."

She added, "He means well..."

Heart shared more about her passion and knowledge for designer bags in a TikTok video.

A TikTok user sent her a question asking, "Best luxury bags for first-time buyers?"

Heart straight up answered, "Honestly, I feel like, for me, it would be a Birkin bag, an Hermès."

She recalled how her father bought a Birkin bag in her early twenties, and its price now has skyrocketed three times its original retail price.

"Dad bought me a bag probably when I was 21 and it tripled in price.

"When you buy a bag or something luxurious you want to make sure it's an investment and I can definitely say a Birkin is an investment.

"Of course, at that time I didn't know that and I still bought a lot of other stuff.

"But eventually, I realized Birkins are really an investment, it's even better than gold.

She added, "A Kelly bag is similar to Birkins--they also go very high.

"I would say Chanel is also trying to do the same thing and putting up their prices and making it more exclusive.

Heart's friendly reminder for luxury bag lovers? "When it comes to luxury make sure you're smart about it and it's an investment.

"You gotta be smart with your hard-earned money. So if you really want something in life...you need to wait and save."
