Global fashion and style icon Heart Evangelista, who will turn 40 on February 14, realized what truly matters more than any material thing, "Lahat ng mayroon ako, pinagtrabahuhan ko...But as I get older, I really feel tired."

Heart Evangelista will hit the big four-oh on February 14 this year. And instead of making a New Year's resolution, the global icon vows to make a new change in her spending habits.

In last Saturday's (January 18) episode of her limited reality series Heart World, Heart said she'll be mindful of how she'll spend her hard-earned money.

"'Di naman sa 'di ako gagastos," Heart clarified. "I know how it feels na magtrabaho, kumayod talaga dahil gusto ko nito kasi I'm lucky, privileged ako na 'di naman ako naging breadwinner in a sense sa pamilya ko. Pero, ibig sabihin, lahat ng mayroon ako, lahat ng suot ko, pinagtrabahuhan ko, as in talagang pinagpuyatan ko, talagang pinilit ko 'yan para mabili lahat ng meron ako."

Heart added that she's now more fully aware of what truly matters than any material thing, stemming from her experience in the last Milan Fashion Week she attended. She went on, "But now as I get older, I really feel tired. Iba na talaga 'yung dating sa 'kin, kahit Fashion Week."

Heart recalled that there was a time that she passed out because of overworking. "Hinimatay na 'ko sa Fashion Week kasi alam ko na nagsa-suffer na 'yung health ko over and beyond just to get the bag, just to get the jacket. These ridiculous things na ginagamit ko naman sa trabaho ko but I will not use that anymore to justify."

She then reiterated, "I will review talaga, hihigpitan ko 'yung belt ko kapag gumagastos ako."

At this point, once and for all, Heart addressed the speculations that she spends her husband Senate President Francis "Chiz" Escudero's money. Talking to Chiz, she said, "Iniisip kasi ng tao na ginagastusan mo ako."

Defending his wife, Chiz clarified that he and Heart have a prenup agreement.

He explained, "Kahit na may prenup kami, sa dulo, pareho pa rin 'yun. Kasi kung meron siya at wala ako, e 'di siya ang magpupuno no'n. Kung wala siya at meron ako, e 'di ako rin naman magpupuno no'n."
