Heart Evangelista ukay finds

Heart Evangelista says she would take the extra step to remove the 'familiar spirits' from her ukay finds.

Fashion maven Heart Evangelista is putting her skills to the test as she goes thrift shopping in Sorsogon!

In her latest vlog, the Queen of Creative Collaborations said she's taking on the challenge to find thrift pieces to wear as a way to commemorate the many Fashion Weeks she's missed in Europe and America.

She wrote in the description,” If you've seen my Instagram stories lately, then you'd know how much I'm missing Fashion Week.

“So, I decided to go on a little fashion quest and see treasures I could find here in Sorsogon.

“In this episode, you'll see me going around different thrift shops and ukay-ukay stalls and trying on my favorite finds, Fashion Week style (after we disinfected them, of course)!”

With the help of her glam team, Heart scoured high and low for pieces that range from PhP 20 up to PhP 500.

After her shopping, the actress showed how she sanitizes her thrift finds, which included using her favorite detergent, a disinfectant spray for bags and shoes, and Holy Water.

She explained while holding two bottles, “This was given to me by a dear friend of mine who is a priest from one of the churches here. This is Holy Water.

“I do believe in cleansing your old stuff. Like stuff that wasn't yours because I do believe in the concept of 'familiar spirits.'

“I know this is kind of scary but I love wearing vintage so I have to be just very careful. So you have to cleanse that, and you just put it on the outfit, pray over it, and make sure there are no 'familiar spirits' that will carry on to your life.

“Because sometimes they say that bad luck can be passed over and other stuff, so you wanna cleanse that. So you have to make sure that you cleanse it, clean it, and cleanse it spiritually.”
