Queen of Creative Collaboration Heart Evangelista was devastated when she learned about the Facebook post of a certain Janica Ruzzel Felipe whose pet pug was hit by a car.

Heart, who is the celebrity ambassador of PAWS (Philippine Animal Welfare Society), couldn't hide her disgust over the reaction of the owner of the car.

Here's Janica Ruzzel Felipe's post online:

"My poor 8 months old baby pug just died today. Me hearing this... "tumalsik na, ginulungan pa sobrang sakit!!!!"

"Yung pinaghirapan at pinagipunan nyong dream dog. masagasan ng taong walang puso!"

Heart Evangelista tweeted about this sad incident and expressed her anger over the heartless reaction of the driver, who supposedly didn't want to take responsibility for the accident.

She wrote, "It all starts with how you treat the ones who can't defend themselves like animals . Hayop sila ? Hayop ka din.

"Just because it's common to see dogs all over doesn't mean they are just “things” . Umiinit ulo ko dito kay kuya ha . @PAWSPhilippines"

The Kapuso actress is a staunch animal rights advocate and a proud dog lover. In fact, after the Taal volcano explosion, Heart joined PAWS's rescue mission by bringing food and water to hungry animals affected in the surrounding area of the volcano.
