Chiz Escudero's on Heart Evangelista as the head of the Senate Spouses Foundation: "Chillax lang kamo 'wag niya masyado taasan 'yung kanyang pressure na may gawin o kung ano 'yung kaya iyon lang..."
A new title is added for the Global fashion icon Heart Evangelista, as she's now the head of the Senate Spouses Foundation in the Philippines.
With Francis "Chiz" Escudero appointed as the new Senate President, Heart was traditionally assigned to the position as his spouse.
During the Kapihan sa Senado forum, Chiz revealed that Heart actually panicked before his appointment day, as she didn't know about her position until then.
"Pinag-usapan na namin kagabi 'yan. Naiyak siya nang kaunti, parang hindi daw niya kaya," Chiz said.
He added, "Nagtatanong siya, hindi daw niya alam, hindi daw niya kabisado, sabi ko ako rin naman, hindi ko alam, hindi ko rin kabisado."
As their conversation progressed, the Senate President continued to reassure Heart that she could do it, until his wife clarified that she was willing to take on the job and was trying to prepare herself.
Moving forward, in an interview on Unang Hirit, Chiz shared an update on Heart now that she's the head of the foundation.
He said, "Hindi niya gaano alam pa na automatic pala siya tagapamuno rin sa Senate Spouses Foundation. Magkakaroon yata sila ng meeting ngayong Linggo para pag-usapan yung responsibilidad niyang iyon."
Chiz reassured everyone that he trusts his wife, and Heart herself is confident in managing her showbiz, fashion, and now political responsibilities all together.
"Nagtiwala naman ako at buo din ang kompyansa niya na magagawa niya sa gitna at sa kabila ng kanyang schedule sa inyo, sa GMA," he said.
For his advice to his wife, "Chillax lang kamo 'wag niya masyado taasan 'yung kanyang pressure na may gawin o kung ano 'yung kaya iyon lang. Ganoon lang ang buhay. Kung ano kaya, iyon ang gawin mo. "
Currently, the fashion icon continues to share glimpses of her designer labels and daily life on Instagram.
Recently, Heart teased an upcoming endorsement project, sharing a picture of her photoshoot set and short video clips featuring her dogs.
