Heart Evangelista welcomed 2022 in full swing with husband, Sorsogon Governor Francis "Chiz" Escudero, and his two children, fraternal twins Chesi and Quino.

The Kapuso Queen of Creative Collaborations posted snippets of their celebration in Las Vegas Nevada for New Year's Eve.

She wrote, "Sometimes all we need is a fresh start. Cheers to a whole new chapter of our lives!"

Recently, Heart also detailed how she knew Chiz was the right partner for her, and how the depth of their love has withstood many tests of time.

In a TikTok video, Heart explained how Chiz stayed by her side and fought for their relationship despite odds not being in their favor, and many were against the pair settling down.

The I Left My Heart in Sorsogon actress said, "I just thought that he has this sort of gravitas. He was so dignified, and so calm… he was like an encyclopedia. He was nice, he was smart, he was so romantic, eventually. I met a lot of wonderful people, but I just met somebody greater than all of them and I felt that I think this time around I should fight for him."

Heart candidly remembered how her own parents were taken aback after learning she was dating Chiz, and were initially concerned.

"Surprisingly, he did something that I couldn't imagine...especially it was election time. People were telling him, break up na, but yeah, he fought for me.

"It was the first time anyone did that for me, and he wanted me to be in his life, no matter what, kahit na mahirap--okay lang."

Heart candidly and confidently ended her TikTok by declaring, "And--grabe...mawala na lahat, 'wag lang ako."

The video which was uploaded as a reply to a fan question has gained over 1.5 million views.
