Heart Evangelista recalled the time her money was confiscated by her mom prompting her to do a calendar shoot for a liquor brand.

In 2014, Queen of Creative Collaborations Heart Evangelista went all out when it came to her projects, quite literally, as she posed wearing the most daring lingerie for a popular liquor brand.

At the time, Heart was hailed as the brand's calendar girl joining the likes of other actresses her age, including KC Concepcion.

Fast forward to almost seven years later, the Kapuso actress revealed that despite the sexy photos, there's always something more than meets the eye.

In her Instagram Stories on Thursday, March 14, the 36-year-old said she “needed to do” the said project to earn some money.

“I can't believe I did this. Hahaha! #Tanduay shoot in 2014,” she wrote while holding a photo of herself, taken by photographer BJ Pascual.

“My mom confiscated my money, so I needed to do this. Hahaha. Hirap kumita.”

In another post, she shared her thoughts on a few photographs, including wearing a polka dot brassiere and denim short shorts amid a farm-like set-up.

She described the photograph as her most “hated” layout but equally thanked her stylist, Katrina Cruz, for her pep talk because she “almost backed out.”

When wearing a body-hugging red swimsuit ala Baywatch, Heart said that it was her most favorite though “it wasn't too sexy, so they (liquor brand) didn't like it, I think.”

She reflected, “Looking back? Glad I did it. I won't do it again, though.

“I literally wanted to cry here! Haha! What an experience.”

The actress then continued to watch her memories from seven years ago, including that of her emotional interview from the now-defunct talk show H.O.T. TV: Hindi Ordinaryong Tsismis with Raymond Gutierrez which she described as a “painful interview” for her.

She said, “After 7 years, I rewatched this painful interview. [It] made me look at my old pictures and struggles [that] nobody knew about.

“Wow. All I can say is, thank you, God, for guiding me. I always believed in having a child-like faith. I finally got my happy life.”

The I Left My Heart in Sorsogon star added, “People may say this and that because they only see the 'finished product' but nobody knows what you had to go through to be where you are. So, cheers to life! Cheers to where it has taken you! Live life to the fullest.”

Turning to her husband, Sorsogon Governor Chiz Escudero, she said, “I am so glad for all the heartaches and sacrifices in the past. It made me strong enough to fight for you [Chiz], such a beautiful soul and my biggest blessing.”

Since then, Heart Evangelista already made a name for herself in the fashion industry that led her to open many doors for local and foreign projects.
