Heart Evangelista gave her followers a serious thought about how she reached her current status as a global fashion icon, 'It comes with time, effort, and just being happy about it, not trying to get ahead.'
Heart Evangelista made a self-reflection in the middle of her hectic yet fun experience in the ongoing Paris Fashion Week.
In her long-form Instagram reel uploaded on Sunday, September 29, the Sparkle artist took the time to give her followers a serious thought about how she reached her current status as a global fashion icon.
She said that it takes one to be happy about what he/she is doing to be able to find success.
"My process is sobrang tagal, 20, 16, 15...tagal talaga kasi I love it so much, I really, really worked hard and I never really want anything in return," Heart shared while in her makeup chair.
According to the multi-faceted personality, there's no quick road to achieving something.
She went on, "I'm doing it because I love it so hindi talaga siya shortcut. Hindi siya puwedeng dahil gusto mo siya, gagawin mo yung whatever to get there. It will come, 'di ba? It will come but it comes with time...time, effort, and just being happy about it, not trying to get ahead. Dapat happy lang."
Heart also related how humility made her go places. "Hindi mo naman kailangan maging top. Ako, never ko naging goal maging top. Siyempre, it feels good when you're acknowledged but then that's never the goal because once you're on top, it's hard to keep that spot."
With her hand moving on chest level, she pointed out, "I'd rather be just right here for a long time."
