Heart Evangelista shared a life lesson that she learned from the late Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago.
In the launch of L'Oréal EmpoweReds collection on January 27, Heart discussed that you will know if someone is a true friend to you when you're in the peak of success.
"Tita Miriam once told me, it's not true when you're down that's when you'll know who your real friends are, because it's easy to love someone or to take care of someone when they're down there."
According to Heart, some people will show their true colors when you're successful.
She said, "When you're successful, that's when you'll know because not everybody will be happy for you."
Heart revealed that when she is blessed with a big break, she feels scared.
"Whenever people say I am like this or I am like that, I get so scared... people are going to attack me and all of that. It's really hard to keep doing what I am doing without feeling afraid or thinking what they're going to say."
In the end, Heart learned to just continue her journey and just do the right thing.
"Just keep going, it is your journey. Only God knows your heart and it will all work out in the end."
