Heart Evangelista

Heart Evangelista shows her Instagram followers that she can gamely take on things that don't involve designer brands.

Kapuso Queen of Creative Collaborations Heart Evangelista may best be known for her designer clothes and accessories, but her latest Instagram post shows she can be down-to-earth as well.

In the Instagram Reel, Heart gamely took on a challenge from one of her Instagram followers to go sari-sari store shopping. And in true Heart fashion, she did not just stop at one item.

Heart started out with a strawberry-filled cracker and then bought two potato and corn chip snacks, as well as a bunch of shampoo sachets and cracker nuts for one of her companions.

The shopping spree didn't stop there as she then went on to buy for the other sari-sari store customers as well, buying them food and drinks.

Buying food and drinks for sari-sari store patrons is just one of the small ways that Heart helps out. Last year, plush versions of her dog Panda were sold for the benefit of the animal shelter fundraising page Aspin Friends PH. Sales of the plush toy last year were already able to feed more than 200 strays in the Fury Tails shelter.

Two years earlier, Heart had posted on Instagram that the super power she would like to have would be to “give every single stray cat and dog a loving home.”

Heart has also been known to celebrate her birthday doing charitable activities, such as her visit with the nuns of the Jardin de Maria Orphanage in Sorsogon.

Heart also founded Big Heart PH, which aims to provide free tablets and data to students who need it for online learning. She has also sold her artwork to provide 550 tablets for school children.
