Heart Evangelista penned a sweet birthday message for Chiz Escudero's twins, Chesi and Quino on their 13th birthday.
Kapuso actress Heart Evangelista posted a heartwarming message to her stepchildren, Chesi and Quino as they turned 13 years old on Monday, September 7.
She told them, “I may not have given you the gift of life, but it has been such a wonderful experience taking care of you since you were four [years old].
“I really can't wait for the adventures you're going to have in your teen years.
“Although it won't be easy (trust me, I've been there), I'll be here to hold your hand every step of the way.”
Along with the sweet message were photos of their small family enjoying the beach hand-in-hand.
In the comments section, many of Heart's family and friends greeted Chiz Escudero's children and lauded the actress for being a wonderful example to two kids.
Happy Skin founder and model Rissa Trillo said, “Aww! You may not have given them the gift of life but life gave them the gift of you.”
Meanwhile, Karen Davila wrote, “Beautiful! Truly, the family is more than blood but those you love with all your heart.”

In one of her vlogs, Heart opened up about taking care of Chiz's twins and how she positioned herself in their family.
She told her fans, “It's going to push you to your limit because having a child is very special but your patience has to be the long and winding road you know because technically they are not yours.
“If you love somebody, honestly, it's a blessing that they have an extension or there's another person that's blood related to them.
"So if you think about it that way, then go ahead and embrace it and remember we're only here in the world for a short time. It's nice to be okay with everybody and it's nice to have a lot of relatives."
Ma. Cecilia Escudero (Chesi) and Joaquin Escudero (Quino) are Chiz's children with his former spouse, Christine Elizabeth Flores. The two separated in 2011.
A year later, Chiz began dating Heart Evangelista and tied the knot in 2015 in Balesin Island.
