Heart Evangelista breathed a sigh of relief after her dad, Reynaldo Ongpauco has finished radiation therapy.

Heart revealed that her father has been going through radiation therapy for the past few months.

"For the past few months, my father has been going through radiation therapy.

"And just this week, he 'graduated' and had his last session. He's now in such a better place and I couldn't be more grateful," Heart wrote on her recent Instagram post.

Last May 21, Heart shared a photo of her dad on her Instagram account, revealing for the first time that her dad is undergoing treatment in the hospital.

This man, even after going through weeks of treatment in the hospital, still thinks about his daughters first. He is the sweetest and most thoughtful dad I could ever ask for, and I thank God for him everyday. 😊💙

The National Cancer Institute (NIH) describes radiation therapy as a "cancer treatment that uses high doses of radiation to kill cancer cells and shrink tumors."

Radiation therapy, at low doses, is also used in x-rays to see inside the body, as with x-rays of teeth or broken bones, according to NIH.

Thankful for her dad's latest health development, Heart also wrote: "The older you get, the simpler your wishes become. You realize that material things aren't all that, and end up wishing for just this -- a happy and healthy family. "
