What were the secrets behind Heart's smiles and poses in that one of a kind Preview Magazine shoot?

Throughout the course of her showbiz career, Heart Evangelista has braved intrigues, survived from break-ups and weathered storms.

Now, Heart emits the glow of love, courtesy of her blissful relationship with fiancé, Senator Chiz Escudero. She is, after all, poised to walk down the aisle on February 15.

The blooming bride-to-be is currently on the cover of Preview magazine.

For the editorial spread, the usually feminine and sophisticated Heart transformed and showed her ethereal and edgy side. She brought dark lipstick and haute couture ensembles to a whole new level.

Heart said that the theme of the shoot is reflective of her own love experiences.



“It had a lot to with what I feel like I’m going through. Not every love story is perfect. I think there’s nothing perfect in this world. With my kind of love story, I don’t think it’s the one we see in the fairytale books about how everything was just about how a Prince meets his Princess,” she said.

She added, “Somehow, it worked for me. I see it as something like a dark romance. I really liked it. It wasn’t the usual bridal pictorial that we usually have.”

What was her favorite look among all of the layouts she shot?

She replied, “The one that was on the cover. Little did they know at that time that right before I shot my first picture, my sister called me because she told me that she was finally allowed by my dad to go to the wedding, so I really had a nice smile on my face. My aura was very happy.”

Heart shared that she would have a totally different theme for her own wedding.

“Definitely, it would be very simple and off-white. We’re still talking to two designers to create what I’ll be wearing here and in Balesin,” stated the chinita beauty.

She also mentioned that Senator Chiz Escudero is very hands-on when it comes to planning the wedding.

“I do everything, but at the end of the day, siya ‘yung taga-tawad. Siya ‘yung taga-set ng budget. Nahihiya akong magtanong kung magkano,” laughed Heart.

She had nothing but good words for her loving fiancé.

“The best thing about him is who he is today as a man with everything he has experienced in his past made him into who he is today and I’m so grateful to have that whole package of us together,” she said.

She thanked her fiancé for everything.

“A lot of people taint our relationship, but I’m such a happy person and he’s such a blessing to me and I’m so lucky to have someone like him. I’m so thankful that he came into my life,” declared Heart.
