Ellen first gained fame online. “I was discovered through the Internet, and I had an interview with Jessica Soho about 'Identity theft' tapos dumami ‘yung gumagamit ng pictures ko…tapos tinawagan na lang ako ng GMA, tapos 'yon, nag-workshop na ako," she noted in an interview with Showbiz Central back in 2010.

Since then, the GMA Artist Center talent has been visible in showbiz through her various shows. Ellen currently appears in Bubble Gang. She also appeared in Mars Ravelo's Captain Barbell (2011) and played as the fire-spitting sidekick Fuega. Also in 2011, she, with her non-showbiz boyfriend Filo Cucueco, joined the hit reality show Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Doubles Showdown.

Aside from her shows, Ellen has also gained a following for her magazine covers. She posed twice for FHM—in December 2010 and January 2012. Her autograph-signing for both issues drew many fans, breaking the record of previous events.
