
Hello, Love, Again, starring Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo, is making history at the box office in the United States.
According to a report from Deadline.com, the film earned $2.4 million (PhP140 million) during its opening weekend across 248 sites in the U.S. Hello, Love, Again also broke into the current Top 10 films in the U.S., ranking 8th. It's the first time a Filipino film has made it onto the list," the report said.
"That's an amazing opening record for a Filipino movie, surpassing the entire gross of Dante Bosco's 2000 romcom The Debut ($1.7M)," Deadline added. "It's also the widest release ever for a Filipino feature."
Hello, Love, Again will also be shown at the Asian World Film Festival in Los Angeles. Apart from North America, Hello, Love, Again is being shown in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
The film will also be shown in the Middle East, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, and Malaysia. In the Philippines, Hello, Love, Again has already grossed PhP245 million in theaters within just three days.
Directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, Hello, Love, Again continues the love story of OFWs Joy and Ethan from the 2019 blockbuster Hello, Love, Goodbye.
