The revival of the iconic CW show will once again take a look at the lives of the privileged teens of the Upper East Side of New York City and the role social media plays in their lives.

According to reports, actress Kirsten Bell will reprise her voice role as “Gossip Girl” since creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage are also working on the new project.

CW's Gossip Girl aired from 2007 until 2012 and was able to launch the careers of Hollywood actors Blake Lively (Serena Van der Woodsen), Leighton Meester (Blair Waldorf), Penn Badgley (Dan Humphrey), Chace Crawford (Nate Archibald), and Ed Westwick (Chuck Bass).

The show won numerous award nominations and won 18 Teen Choice Awards.

The reboot is slated to be released in 2021 on the HBO Max streaming service.
