Hev Abi and BINI have continued to dominate the local music scene, winning the hearts of Filipino listeners.
It's official! Hev Abi and BINI are Spotify Wrapped 2024's Filipino favorites!
Recently, Spotify unveiled its Wrapped event, which features users' personalized listening habits.
Rapper Hev Abi emerged as the most-streamed male OPM artist. Meanwhile, the nation's girl group BINI secured the No. 2 spot on the list.
Hev Abi's "Babaero" is this year's Spotify Wrapped Philippines' Top Song, followed by Maki's "Dilaw," Dionela's "Sining," Hev Abi's "Walang Alam," and BINI's "Pantropiko."
"Di naman siya nakakagulat para sa akin. Lahat naman siguro ng artist gusto maging leading in some way, somehow. Pero gusto ko rin isipin na hindi siya nakakagulat para maging steady ka lang, grateful lang lagi," Hev Abi said.
He continued that he makes music that he wants to hear, and the recognition for his music is just a bonus. The rapper also thanked those who enjoyed and could relate to his music.
Completing the list of top local artists for Spotify Wrapped 2024 are balladeers Arthur Nery (No. 3), TJ Monterde (No. 4), and the folk-pop band Ben&Ben (No. 5).
