Hidilyn Diaz happily celebrated her 35th birthday.
Hidilyn made history as the first Filipino to win an Olympic gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the women's 55-kg weightlifting event. In January 2025, Diaz was inducted into the Philippine Sportswriters Association's Hall of Fame.
In a recent Instagram post, Hidilyn shared how she celebrated turning 35. The video featured her lighting a candle and placing it on her cake.
She said, "Hello, 35.. still cheerful, still dreaming, still creating."
The Filipino Olympic champion added, "Thank you for making my 35th so special with your love and messages."
Last January, it was announced that Hidilyn had begun her teaching career at the University of the Philippines Diliman's College of Human Kinetics, where she is teaching two PE 2 weightlifting classes.
