Actress and singer Hilary Duff and her husband Matthew Koma just welcomed their second child together via water birth on March 24. They named their daughter Mae James Bair.

The 'Lizzie McGuire' star announced the birth of her daughter on Instagram by sharing an adorable photo of her carrying Mae James Bair while still submerged in water.

In the photo, her elder daughter Banks can be seen looking closely at her new sister, while also dipped in water like her mom.

Hilary's husband, Matthew, was right behind her with her eldest child, Luca, admiring the newest addition to their beautiful blended family.

Mae James Bair is Hilary's third child and the second one she has with her husband Matthew. Banks is their first child together, while Luca is Hilary's son with her ex-husband, Mike Comrie.

Hilary captioned the photo: “Mae James Bair- We LOVE you beauty 3-24-21.”

The celebrity-entrepreneur gave birth to her second daughter via home water birth.

And although water birth has only become popular amid the COVID-19 pandemic, it seems to be Hilary's preferred method of childbirth, as she also gave birth to her second child, Banks, in 2018 via water birth.

The couple announced her third pregnancy back on October 24 with a video of Matthew rubbing Hilary's baby bump.

Hilary said in her caption, “We are growing!!! Mostly me ...”

Several celebrity friends congratulated Hilary on welcoming her third child, including fellow new mom Sophie Turner and former Disney star Ashely Tisdale, who gave birth to her first child, Jupiter Iris French, just a day before Hilary welcomed her new baby.

Sophie commented, “Congratulations mama!!! ️” while Ashley said, “This photo ️️ congrats beautiful.”

Hilary and Matthew first met in 2015 when they worked together on her album titled 'Breathe In. Breathe Out.' At that time, Hilary was already one year separated from her former husband Mike Comrie.

Matthew is a singer-producer, whose notable works include Zedd's “Spectrum” and the hit song “Clarity.”

Matthew and Hilary started dating after collaborating on her album and briefly separated for a few months in 2017.

On October 25, 2018, Hilary and Matthew welcomed their first child together, daughter Banks Violet Bair.

Matthew then popped the question to Hilary in May 2019.

The couple tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony held in their Los Angeles home's backyard on December 21, 2019, just a few months before the pandemic began.

Hilary joins the long list of Hollywood celebrities who got pregnant and gave birth amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
