Miss World 2015 Philippines titleholder Hillarie Parungao has one major requirement for the next lady who gets to wear her crown.
“As I keep on saying before, I want someone who’s sincere and true to herself because not everybody gets the opportunity to represent our country and wear a crown,” she said.
She revealed that she has seen beauty pageant candidates who set their eyes on the prize with no consideration for the responsibilities the title entails.
“Some girls who join the competition would put their best foot forward but after that, they tend to forget the duties of a queen,” she added.
For the 25-year-old beauty queen from Nueva Vizcaya, pageants go way beyond the physical aspect.
“I really want somebody who has it in her heart that no matter what happens after the competition, she will still be a queen inside and out,” she noted.
As she will be passing on the crown on October 2 at the Manila Hotel, she has a few pieces of advice for the next Miss World Philippines.
“Whoever you are, I wish that you would be true to yourself all the time, always be happy, keep your head up and put your feet on the ground always,” she concluded.
